Getting to the Linx Ice Arena is straightforward from across Aberdeen and the wider North East. Situated on the Beach Esplanade, the arena is just minutes from the city centre and is easily reached by car, public transport, or on foot. With ongoing changes to the beachfront as part of the Aberdeen Beach Development Project, this guide will help you plan your journey and arrive smoothly on game nights.
Due to the Aberdeen Beach Development Project, the former front beachfront car park is now closed. All parking for game nights is located behind the arena, accessed via Links Road.
On busy nights, on-street parking is available along the Beach Esplanade. If you use this option, please allow extra time — all supporters must walk in via Links Road and through the rear car park to reach the arena entrance. Please park responsibly and keep access routes clear for other spectators and local residents.
From the city centre: Follow Union Street towards the beach and continue onto Beach Boulevard. Turn onto Links Road to reach the rear car park.
From the north or south: Take King Street (A956) towards the beachfront, turn onto Beach Boulevard, then follow Links Road to the arena.
Bus routes from the city centre and King Street stop near the beachfront. The closest stops are on Beach Boulevard and King Street, both a short walk from Links Road. Please check your bus operator’s website or app for up-to-date timings on game days.
Aberdeen Station is the nearest train station and is around a 20–25 minute walk or a short bus/taxi ride to the beach and Links Road.
