We are delighted to announce we will be holding our first Pride Game Night on January 21st when we take on Kirkcaldy Kestrels at home at the Linx Ice Arena.
January 20th-27th is the Elite League Pride Week, so it’s an ideal time to host our very own Pride game night and help promote inclusivity and diversity within this sport we all love.
Our chairperson John Colley said, “I am delighted that we as a club, and as a sport are supporting the LGBT+ community. Sport across the world is a platform which must be used to educate and influence, acceptance and inclusion. At the Aberdeen Lynx Ice Hockey Club our vision is to “develop great people through our passion for Ice Hockey”. History has taught us that great people accept and include everyone no matter their differences. Hockey is for everyone!
We have a special edition Lynx Pride 2023 hockey shirt that will be worn by the team for this one game! Each member of the Lynx squad will sign their shirt and we will host an online auction where you can get a change to bid for this piece of Lynx memorabilia.
Half of the profits we raise from the auction will be donated to Four Pillars, a local charity who helps supports the health and wellbeing of the LGBT+ community.
