After many years of operating as a voluntary organisation, Aberdeen Ice Hockey Club (Aberdeen Lynx) is delighted to announce we are now a registered Scottish Charity. This will allow the club to further our aims to develop the sport, in particular supporting children of all ages to participate in ice hockey.
The move was agreed by our membership and the application was approved earlier this summer. As a newly established charity our committee members will now be appointed as trustees. This ensures that all proper governance will be in place for the club going foward.
Aberdeen Lynx Chair, John Colley, said “Charity Status will be really important for us as a club as we develop this sport that we are all so passionate about.”
