A firm favourite with the crowd with a personality as big as his stature Jack Flynn will be taking to the ice as an assistant captain this year. He is taking the over from Fraser MacEachran with his retirement at the end of the season.
Jack said, “Last season still leaves a sour taste in my mouth on how it ended. So this year we are even more determined and driven to get our hands on that cup. Can’t wait to see all the fans in the rink and to get started with our journey. This season is going to be a good one.”
Coach Jordan Leyden commented, “It was great having Jack back last season. He’s a big presence on and off the ice and brings a massive amount of strength and skill to the squad. With an infectious character amongst the team he was a fitting choice to take over the Assistant captaincy from Fraser.”
